Hey guys. Well, it has really been busy since we have been back home. Chris, Bo, and Toby have been working on the finishing touches for Jaque's room. It looks so great. I will try and get some pictures posted. Kelsey said "this room is the coolest ever." So, guess that is a stamp of approval.
Grandma Donna just left. She helped us out a lot. She really helped get the house back liveable. Funny how quick dust accumulates when no one lives in a house. I know that she hated to leave Jaque, but I am sure that she will be back soon. Papa Danny picked her up on Sunday. As Jaque would say "Sweet Jesus" grandma, thanks so much for everything. I am not sure she knew what she was getting her self into.
Grandma Kay will be up on Wednesday. It is so great that these wonderful ladies are giving up their time to come down here. Really -- how fortunate are Chris and I to have such wonderful parents? God has blessed us so much. I know that Jaque is really enjoying getting spoiled. Of course, out of these grandma's what else is knew?
Papa Phillip and Melinda are expected after Grandma Kay. And Uncle Lane and Lindy are coming up every weekend that they can.
Just want you all to keep praying for Jaque. She went to school 2 whole days and 2 half days last week. This week she has not gone. She has come down with what I am hoping is allergies. Coughing a lot, so please keep her in your prayers. I called her dr today to see if they had gotten her medical records and if I should bring her in. Ms. Sylvia said "Praise God that child is a blessing to be alive." How true it is. I know that God is keeping Jaque in check and making sure that she is not rushing this recovery too much. It is hard to see her sick, but I know that we are so much farther ahead than we were just a few short weeks ago.
I told her today that this is the first day since we have been home that she has spent all day in bed. That is such a big improvement from Atlanta. Eddie is doing great. He and Sassy are buddies now. They have officially swam together in the pond. They were sitting on the porch just hanging out, and the cows across the road were walking by. I guess this is the first time that Eddie has ever see a cow. It was too cute. He just kept looking at them and not really barking just kind of clearing his throat at them. Jaque and I watched them for 30 minutes. Guess he is a city dog gone country.
I wish that you would all say a special prayer tonight for Mr. Wesson's family. He was Chris's instructor at instrument school, and he was like my mentor also. When I worked at NWLA Tech I helped him with typing and grading exams. He was a great man. Full of knowledge, and character. He believed in us (Chris and I) as parents wholeheartedly. In fact, when we were in Little Rock at Children's hospital, he and his wife and Toby's parents made a trip to see Jaque. He told me after visting her that she looked so grown up. He said "Carol, God is watching over Jaque, and she will be ok. It is not going to be easy, and it is going to take patience, but she will be just fine." He said that she had grown up to be such a lovely young woman.
Yes, Mr Wesson she has. And it is people like you along the path of our lives that have made us who we are today. Thank you so much, I love you and will miss you. Rest assured that my daughter will know the man you were. Thank you for laying your hands on her and praying for her.
Thanks everyone for keeping up with Jaque's progress. You will all share in GOD's and Jaque's glory. Love you. Carol (carol.hall3@weyerhaeuser.com)

Yes, we made it home!
Hey guys, sorry for the delay in updating. Jaque has been really pushing herself since we have been home. She looked beautiful at prom. Nina had taken care of her date's tux and flowers for Jaque. They matched beautifullly. She went out to eat with a big group of kids, and then had a blast at prom. She said that it was so great seeing everyone. She went right back into school on Monday. She has went two and 1/2 days so far.
It feels great to be home. She was so blessed with the family that came in to see her off at prom. Bo, Toby, Lane, Heath, Jeff, and Chris worked hard on getting her room finished. Of course we all know that Lori is the mastermind behind this wonderful room that is litterally build from pure LOVE. You honestly feel like you have just been hugged by God when you enter the doorway.
Everyone has been so generous. Not jsut with monetary things, but with their time. I promise you if you stop by and see her room - you will be a better person for it.
Back to school was great. Nina and Josh came over to break in the Wii. Then Maegan and Ashley W came over and made sure that Jaque made it to the baseball game. Of course she was not ready to stay the entire time, but it was great for them to include her. She has really missed them all so much. I heard that she has already got on the basketball court, sounds like Jaque.
Many people have asked me if Jaque will ever walk again. I got to thinking you all reading this blog may have the same question. The doctor's say that she has everything that her body needs to recover from this accident. They say it takes 6-8 months for the swelling to go down around the spinal cord. They also say that the nerves grow at a slow rate. They say that knowing her, nothing is impossible. They give her all the hope in the world. It is just not something they can run a test on, see in a MRI or Catscan, or do blood work on. The doctors are not intelligent enough right now, nor do they have the technology to quite understand the spinal cord.
Now for the good part. WE ALL KNOW JAQUE. WE ALL KNOW THAT SHE HAS BEEN DOING MORE THAT EXPECTED OF HER THE ENTIRE TIME SHE HAS BEEN ON EARTH, AND IN HER OWN SWEET TIME. We know that if they say she may throw 50's, she throws 60. If they say she cannot make a shot from half court, she will make one from the opposite free throw line. If they say she is just a small town girl, she winds up on the news, and in the local newspaper leading the story! Each and every time she has been set a limit or an expectation, she will do just one better to show you she has got it in her. And she will say sweet Jesus and Praise God each time her toes wiggle or her knee moves.
Jaque will walk again, we just must be patient. In her and God's sweet and special timeframe, Jaque will be a walking testimony to her friends, her family, and all that know her story. God is just beginning her recovery. He did exactly what needed to be done to get her home for prom. In his and her perfect timing. Now his great work will continue as she draws many young people in our area near to her. Keep praying, and keep the faith. God is working in all of our lives. All.

Last night in the ATL
Who would think that it is here. Our last night in the ATL. We have had so many memories here and have met so many good people. Our lives will indeed be much richer for those that have crossed paths with us. I hope everyone understands that this blog will not stop once we are back in Haworth. We will keep it updated on Jaques progress, and hope that you will all keep checking it.
Jaque made an A+ on her written exam for dog handler and an A++ on the oral exam. I hope that this makes those teachers at Haworth proud. She worked hard and struggled through long days to pass. Tomorrow is Eddie and Jaques public access final. We will got to Target and then to Chili's. Then we will have a graduation party for Jaque and Eddie. They are doing so great together. This morning when I woke up I glanced over at Jaque (my Angel) and there sat Eddie with his head proped slightly on the side of the bed with his nose just about 1" from her nose, being quiet and just watching Jaque sleep. It was so great. They do not want the service dogs to be protective, but I am afraid that he already is. You can see that he has been touched by the "IT" factor.
In talking with Ramona, founder of GCI she told me of one of the volunteers at GCI (Georgia Canine) whose daughter is now 25 and has been in a wheelchair most of her life. The volunteer had met Jaque one day last week. She told Ramona that she had never quite met anyone like Jaque. She said that her attitude, personality, and wonderful smile was one that she had never seen in anyone in a wheelchair before. She just could not say enough about how much Jaques attitude touched her life and inspired her. She said that she was so confident and hopeful and that she was so strong in her faith. She knew that Jaque was not going to be kept down long.
What a proud day as a parent. It is one that you just dream of. To hear that your child could touch a life like that is amazing. I just want to make sure that all of you understand that this is not something that Chris and I have done on our own. It was ALL of our family, and friends that have helped mold her and make her. See - my thought is that God is the teacher and gave us the clay, and through him we all help mold each other a little everyday. Jaque told someone yesterday that she has learned that you have to be careful what you say to someone because it just might be the last time that you see them. SO she said that she tries to make sure that everyone knows how much she loves them and what they mean to her.
Just remember - we love you all. Larissa, Toby, Bo, Lori , Courtney, Heath, Suzanne, & Presley how in the world will we every repay you. BO, thank God Lori has kept you in line all this time! We thank you for your continued prayer. You all began this journey with us on January 3. The minute I arrived and saw her, I dropped to my knees and prayed to GOD. Thank you all for doing the same. May we bless your lives the way you continue to bless ours. SEE YOU SOON!

TOMORROW'S THE BIG DAY
We are all so excited that tomorrow is the biggest day yet. Jaque gets to come home to stay. I know that is has been a long hard road for them but Jaque makes it look like a breeze. She always has that beautiful smile and positive attitude about her. You know at her age to have all that has happened to her in last 6 months she could've turned into a very bitter person. Not Jaque, she has just blossomed and everyone around her has been blessed because of it. Jaque I can only imagine what your thoughts and pain might be, but your positive attitude, strength, and love of the Lord will bring you through this. We love you so much and are so very proud of you and your parents.
HURRY UP AND GET HOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! we are all waiting for you.
Love you MEME and PAPA

Two More Days to Haworth!
Good afternoon everyone. We are sitting around the hotel. Today was sort of a day off. We have Eddie with us, and are working on Jaque's written exam. Later today she will get to go with Eddie and Kellie & Betty (the golden in the video) to dinner and a movie. Sounds fun, and I am sure it will be. But, it will also be work for Eddie and Jaque. They are both being tested right now. They both must pass a strict testing procedure for Eddie to come to Haworth with us.
Jaque is feeling pretty good. She has been working really hard, and moving around a lot. So sore would be a mild understatement. I know that it is good we got her unlimited text because she has been burning her phone up getting ready for prom.
She told me today that she is tired of feeling sick, and ready to get home. I reminded her of how far she had come. I reminded her that it was not long ago that she could not even shave her own underarms. Little things that we take for granted like that she could not do. Slowly and surely she is getting her strength to do things back. Yesterday we were transfering from her chair to another and her legs tried to stand up. Yep, they did it just once, but they did it. She said that it was so weird.
I told her that that is just God testing all the nerves and muscles. One by one he is going through them, seeing what needs healed and what is already done. He is checking each and every path, making sure that he achieves perfection, then she will be ready.
I said yesterday that we asked when Jaque beings walking, do we get to keep Eddie? Ramona from GCI said that it was really up to us, and duh!!! Eddie will be a part of our family then. I just wanted to point out to you all that we said WHEN she begins, not if but WHEN.
As softball season quickly approaches, please keep Jaque in your thoughts. She is so strong and such a great person, but she still needs our prayers as she approaches going home and watching the game she loves so much. Please be sure to approach it as something that she must appreciate that she has done, and something that she will do again - no matter what age - she will do again. The best way to face adversity is straight on, and God granted her the talent for the yellow ball for a reason. He gave her that wonderful GOD GIVEN gift for a reason.
As her mom, I know she is not ever just someone in the stands, she will always be the best thing that McCurtain County ever has. My hero, now and for always. Funny, I have always told her she was going to be famous one day. And at 17 years old she has been on TV and said something that most people would not have the strength to say at my age. And the best part is that it was not on a script, just straight from the heart.
Just two more days guys, just two more days. Love Ya'll. You make each day possible. You give us strength. God Bless You today. Carol, Jaque, Chris, and Eddie (and of course Sassy from home)

Jaque and Eddie already on TV
Don't have much time. Just wanted to let you all know Jaque was the lead story on TV last night. Her clip was the segway to the 11 o'clock news in Atlanta> It was so cool, she was the one that pre-emited the nightly news here. Wow, what is this kid not capable of???
Here is a link that should get you there.
www.11alive.com
It is in the pet section, it literally was the first story last night! You can also watch the video too.
If the link does not work, type in 11Alive news for Atlanta GA. Love you all and send this link all you know. Just so you know, Jaque was sure to tell the reporter her story and that God is what has gotten her this far. She said God and all her friends she has praying for her.
Love ya'll and talk with you later. Carol (jaque, chris, and eddie too!)

Saturday night in the Big town
Hey all. In case you are wondering, we did get a little rain here last night. Just enough to knock the pollen down. And yes, the pollen is the worst I have ever seen. Everything is some shade of yellow.
We are three full days into Eddie and Jaque and I am feeling more confident than every on our decision for there union. They make such a good team. He literally seems to read her mind. Today he learned from Jaque that my name is mom and Chris is dad. Then she had him pick up a bad off of the floor and bring to her. Then when he got to her, she said take it to mom Eddie, and pointed at me. He brought it straight to me. It was so good, Ramona (dog trainer extrodinare) told her to end on that. Eddie and Jaque had done so well, she just wanted to stop right there with them for today.
After that we had to make a trip to the mall. It seems as though Jaque just might make her first TV appearance. The 11Alive news station from here in Atlanta wants to come out and do a news story on them. Pretty cool, huh. And don't worry grandma's if they do I will see where we can get a tape of it.
God has blessed us with this extra time in Atlanta. He has brought us here for a reason. It may be the atheist that Chris met in the building next to training camp. He told her all of Jaques story. It may be the others in her group that hear of her story and of all of you. And who knows, it may be someone that we have yet to meet. Our fellow classmates, AJ, Hope, and Kelly are all wonderful. We are indeed thankful for God crossing our paths. AJ and Hope's dad commented to me that there is just something about Jaque that tells you she has what it takes to do whatever in life she wants. He believes. Ramona said it best in class today. She said that she believes that you will achieve the expectations that those around you set. She said in Eddie's case expectations are high because there is nothing he cannot learn to do. He is a worker, and loves to please. I say in Jaque's case she is a worker and there is nothing she cannot learn to do. We know it, and you all reinforce it each time you talk with her or write. What a team.
May God bless each and every one of you tonight. May you dream of walking in the fresh cut grass of summer, with Jaque walking by your side. Praise him for the good things in our life. I praise him and thank him for all of you. Love you all - Carol, Jaque, and Chris

First day of class
What a great day. We just got back to the room from dinner. I am updating you all. As I am typing, the sun is shining. Jaque is outside wheeling around the hotel, laughing every time she passes our window. She, I am sure, is talking to one of her friends back at Haworth. We got up and actually got out the door on time. We were all a little restless, guess it was the excitement of the unknown. We have two other dogs in our class, both golden retrievers. So we started class with Eddie, Charlie, and Betty. We had lecture time (yes, Jaque was in true form and fell asleep for that part once, she wanted to make Mrs McKee proud) then we had handling classes. It was so cool. It is really more that I ever thought it would be. Jaque and Eddie work so well together. One man (with Charlie) commented that she made it look to easy. He asked if she always kicked butt like that. Of course Chris assured him that she does.
Eddie is of course a dog. So he is easily distracted with treats. But hard work is what he was born to do. He likes to get the job done, do it right the first time, be the first one done, and do it just a little better than the person beside him. Sound like anyone else we know? Then, he and Jaque like to go that little extra. Example is that they were suppose to "Let's go, heel, sit, yes." But they "Let's go, heel;, sit, down, stay, yes" and he stayed exactly where she put him. Kind of like when Jaque was told that she did not have what it takes to be a pitcher. She was told that they would give her all the easy games to let her practice. YOU KNOW WHAT HAPPENED NEXT?? She pitched the easy game, a shutout......from then on, she pitched the hard games.
Its kind of like the feeling you get when you know someone believes in you. You know how you can feel it in your heart, mind, soul, and your big toe? When someone tells you that they know you can do it. They know that if you want it, just grab it. You just have to believe. Well, for the past few months ---- you are the ones supporting Jaque, and me and Chris. You are the ones.
Once in Little Rock, I was talking to Jaque. She was sleeping. I told her to look around her. I told her that the devil once had his bleachers full. I told her that through her accident, I was dreaming that one by one the people were getting up and moving. She was pitching, and those that had been sitting with the devil were getting up, one by one, and moving to God's team, you know, her side of the field. I told her that they were winning. And that all of her teammates were cheering her on.
She is so special to me. I thank God every day that he chose me to be her mom. I thank him for you all being in our lives. And I give him praise for the work he is doing in her life. Eddie found her for a reason. They are building a special bond. He is helping in her transition from Rehab to home. He is helping her build the bridge that will bring her back to all of you. He will be so happy to meet all of you. We cannot wait for sassy to meet him. Maybe he can fetch for her too!!!!
Love you guys. Carol (Jaque and Chris)

Congrats Jaque!
Hope all is well in your lives! We have heard that Broken Bow lake is on the verge of flooding, so hope you all are getting pictures for us.
From Jaque: "Whew! I finally am out of rehab. Did not think the day would come soon enough. We just checked into the Holiday Inn Express in Ackworth GA. Tomorrow I get to see Eddie again. I am laying here checking out the room service menu. Yes, we just ate dinner, but you guys know me, already hungry again. Thought I would write and let you all know that I love and miss you. I have been working hard for all of you. Funny how strong so many people praying can make you. Love ya and will write soon, Jaq."
Today at grad, one of the ladies said, you know Jaque is our first softball pitcher. They said you know if anyone can do it, it will be her. You can just see it in her eyes. HOW TRUE THEY ARE. If anyone can do this, it is her and the Lord. She got the "most likely to be the boss award" and "the most likely to look the best at prom award." Boy, does not take them long to peg her well.
We have an early morning tomorrow, just wanted to make sure that you all knew we made it ok. We love you and I will try and post more tomorrow night. She said to let you know the only thing that is better than getting out of theraphy will be when she gets back home to see you all.
Think hard tonight and pray for someone that you have not seen in a while. I will do the same. Then you will ALL know that someone is praying for you tonight also. Love you and see you soon. Carol (jaque and chris)

Drivers test -- check!
What a morning! It started out with overcast weather. As we were getting dressed, I asked Jaque if she was still nervous. We overheard a preacher on TV and he said, "Let me remind you all that God did not give us the spirit of fear." Funny that this is just the channel that was on when we turned the TV on. And Chris turned it on as he was walking out the door to get her blueberry muffins. Turned it on just to wake Jaque up. Those close to our family understand that this is a message from God telling Jaque that he, and her ol uncle CJ are still with her. She said, "oohhh! hope God don't let me drive like CJ today, I might flunk!" Then we laughed and hugged each other. She looked so cute, all decked out in her green Victoria Secret Sweatshirt that says Think Green Wear Pink, and her pink plaid capri's.
She had to answer quite a few questions concerning her wreck, and what physical limitations that she has at the current moment. Then she had to do a few hand-eye coordination drills, and of course what driving test would be complete without the vision screening. She did well on all of it. And when we finally made it to the car, she had that glow about her. You know, the "it" she has. She had to drive down Peachtree Street (the busiest six lane, non interstate street in Atlanta) and the get on I-75, loop around and come back to hospital. The driving instructor said she did really well. And so, one more chapter written in our lives. In Jaque's life, one more part of her independence regained! Praise God.
By now most of her friends at Haworth know that she moved her foot yesterday. It was her left foot, and she picked her toes up about 1 inch off of the ground, and put them back. She did this for a couple of minutes before even telling me. We were getting her hooked up on the FES bike. She was smiling, I thought Chris had done something. (passed gas, picked his nose?) But she laughed and said look mom. She can control it for around 3 - 5 minutes each time. Then, just like it came, it goes. But it is great that it is coming. God is great. He continues to show us that it is his WILL, his WAY, and through his POWER that health is being restored to her. By the way, it is the third time this week that we have seen this movement. Immediately she and I said Praise GOD!
Well, got to run guys. Jaque is having lunch with her OT's, PT's, and TR's from the 2nd and 3rd floor. They are all so sweet and special in our heart. God Saved Jauqe. They have helped her regain her strength and sassy'ness.
Thanks to Coach Reynolds, the Haworth Lady Lions, and Kelsie Jackson for being there for her. She Loves you all and cannot wait to get home.
Love to you all. And Grandma Kay -- DR Pepper----that is a serious commitment. We love you all and know that God is working so much love through all of you. Grandma Kay & Papa Larry, Grandma Donna and Papa Danny, Papa Phillip and Mamaw Melinda - thanks for all you do for us and Jaque. We could not make this journey without you. Carol (Jaque and Chris)

ok, I am Crazy!
Ok, I guess by now you all know that we are coming home APRIL 17th. I am doing good to get the 2008 right, much less the month!
We had a great weekend. Stayed in on Friday. Weather was stormy so we ordered pizza and watched movies. Saturday was off to a slow start. Then we went to mall and found earrings for prom. Of course we found lots of other stuff too, but Chris keeps reminding us that he has to have room for him and Eddie in the car (dog). Then after the mall, we traveled to see Eddie. It was a great pick me up for Jaque. They had fun playing. He was excited to see her again. Yesterday we went to the Stone Mountain State Park. I have posted a picture. It was beautiful. All I could think of was my dad, those iron makers and kettle corn poppers. The banjo and fiddles playing - just knew my dad would love it. My dad, aka Papa Danny has not been feeling great. Please keep him in your prayers.
Jaque is getting excited about coming home. She has three days this week, one of which might be in the pool, yeah!!! Her driving evaluation is tomorow. WHAT??? Yep, she will be in a car driving tomorrow. She is nervous about it, so please thing of her 9 AM Atlanta time. On Wed, n we go 20 min north to Ashworth for training with Eddie. Part of that training is going to be outings for dinner, movies, etc. So it will be fun, but also teach them how to get around in public places.
**God is working in Jaque. We came out of the mall one night and were very hungry. We saw Maccino's Italian Rest. Funny thing was we did not want to go to that resturant, but Chris insisted. SO, we gave in. We huffed and puffed, but went anyway. Then we entered and it looked a little fancier on the inside, but we stayed. Then we got the menu and thought ARE WE SURE WE WANT TO EAT HERE? Chris said we can leave if you want. But we were alredy there. So we ordered, and were still hesitant. But we stood strong on our decision. At the table behind us, a man and woman kept staring at Jaque. She said, "mom I think that guy is staring at me" and then she smiled and she said that he just kept smiling at her. Just before we got our food, the lady from the table came over and spoke. She told Jaque that she had a nephew in a chair and he was 26 years old. She said that they could hardly get him out of the house. She gave us his email, and we gave her Jaque's web site. We told her that it would be an inspiration. Not just that about Jaque, but that faith that is felt in our family and friends.
See - God works. Jaque is such an inspiration. Actually, God working through Jaque is touching so many lives. It is the "Jaque" factor. She just has it. In her smile, in her laugh, and in her eyes. And you all are such a blessing to us, every minute of every day. Keep the faith and keep praying. We have come so far together, and we are stronger now that we have every been - all of us.
I will update on the driving. Love ya'll. You guys are great. Carol (Jaque and Chris)

Thursday, rainy and mild
Hey guys. Jason is out and doing well. They could not find anything wrong with him. He and Jaque both have been getting better ever since.
Yesterday Jaque and the group went to the zoo on an outing. Basically, they take them to public places and teach them how to manuver. She said zoo was good. Said they did not even have a bear! Funny story was that she and Jason were trying to make it up a steep hill. Jaque was in front. She said that it was hard. She said that she would stop to rest, and Jason would pull behind her, lock his brakes, and give her a push. Funny that no matter where you are in life, its nice to have someone watching your back for you. She had a great day, no doubt from the amount of prayer she is receiving from all of you.
Today she, Jason, and a group of 3 others went to Georgia Tech Campus here in Atlanta for a tour. All that went with her were college age, but they said given Jaques personality, they felt that she needed to go ahead and get the feel for it. She had a good time, but was disappointed because most were off on spring break. No football or baseball players.
We are set to be out of the day program on March 9, and then to service dog training on March 10 - 17. And finally home that night for prom!!! Yippie! Then, we will be home for a while. We may come back up for specialized theraphy during the summer a week here or there, but for the most part we will be home! Once we get home, we will be working double time to get all that school work done.
We are on our way to the apartment. Just wanted to let everyone know that her FES bike will ship this week. Praise GOD. And from what we are hearing, insurance is picking up the majority for this. Thank you all for praying with us, and most of all - thank God for his contiuned blessings on Jauqe's life.
It is hard sometimes to see someone you love hurting. But through it, glory will we ours. God will restore health unto Jaque and is healing her wounds!!!
Love you all

Super Tuesday
It is April Fool's Day. We were talking about what we could write to everyone and "fool" them. But we could not think of anything. Not one thing. We are so happy these days with absolute truths, that to fool you all that are so far away - well it is just not an option.
Jaque is better today. Her leg is still swollen. But it is shriking. I call one skinny minny, and the other fatty. It is cute, they like being called that. She is still sweating, but the fever seems to have run its course. She looks stronger this morning, and it seems that we are getting back to where she was last week. We have not heard any knew news on Jason, but we will post when we hear anything.
I know that God knows what he is doing in her life. He is doing on the timeline that is good for her. I do not know if I have shared with you all the point that we were in Arkansas, and it was January 6. It was the Sunday monring that Jaque's lung collapsed. We had called the family, woke them all up to get to hospital. She was turning, and it was the wrong way! They were trying to clean the tube down her throat, and her lung did not like it. Chris and I were there and we were praying for her. We had our hands on her, and finally we said what God was waiting to hear. "God, we are not sure what is going on with Jaque. We know that she is in a lot of pain. Lord, please let your will be done in her life." This is very personal, but you all need to hear it. Then, Chris and I said "God, whether it be that Jaque is taken from us to you, or that you keep her here, Lord please let your will be done." "Our prayer is that you heal her and bring her back to us, but your will is what we want for her." We were there. We were at the point that a parents get to where you have tried to control everything about your child, and realize that you must place them in God's hand. Then, be guided by his will for their life. After that, each of our family members came in (two by two) and laid hands on her and prayed. She made a U turn and got on the right road!
Everytime we try and control things, they change course down the wrong road. Yet when guided by his will, we travel down the right path. God chose to give Jaque life. He chose that she has more work to do on this earth. To say that any of us are the same people after this would be way off the mark.
I heard from Jaque's Arkansas Children's Hospital neighbor last night. There child is out and doing well. She said that she had been keeping up with Jaque's blog. She had a wonderful email. made me cry. Then as we walked into the apartment last night I told Jaque and Chris to stop. I told them "See, I want you both to realize that when something good happens the devil tries to steal your glory. Today she felt lead to email Jaque by God. God lead her to us. She was sent to remind us all that he is not done with you yet, Jaque."
I remembered thinking that while Jaque laid there in Little Rock, why is she is so much pain? Then it came over me like a ton of bricks. It is like it happened yesterday. She is so strong. She was 16 years old. She laid in that bed, and she watched us from above. She saw those little children, some just a few days old, never having ran or thrown a ball. They have not talked or walked. She gave them her strength. One by one, those around improved, and went home. They moved out of ICU, on there way. To date, I have not shared this thought with Jaque.
A while ago, she told me that she wondered why it happened to her. She said after thinking about it, she knew that of all her friends, she was physically the strongest, so she was glad. (that is not her being cocky, that was her being heavy hearted and honest) She said some might not could have made it, but she could. She said I could not have handled losing one of my friends.
In the face of it all, she knew she was strong. God knows how strong each of us are. He says that he will never put more on us than our shoulders can bear. Any of you knowing Jaque knows that she has MAN SHOULDERS. I wish it could have been me, but she says I am a wimp! Funny Jaque, smart mouthed as ever!
Enough babble for today. Love you all, Carol
Please pray for the Shelby Family of Texarkana (Viper teammate Ashley Johnson's friends mom) Shelly, on her birthday tomorrow, is set to be taken off of life support, and will go home to the LORD. This was very sudden in their lives. They need our prayers. May we all seize the moment, for we must not take any for granted.
