Jaque's Latest

Jaque is making great strides everyday. She is such an incredible young woman as we all know so well. She has touched more lives than she will ever realize. As Kay previously said Jaque will be making her way to Atlanta soon to start her rehab at one of the finest rehab hospitals in the World...only the best for our Jaque. I thought this was a great letter from Carol this morning and I wanted everyone to have the chance to read it...

Not sure if you all have been updated today. We made a big move last night to the 5th floor, rm 5229. She is progressing well. Her lungs are getting stronger every day.

Of course, you all know that her mouth is working well!! She is turning on that charm for the doctors and nurses. She is still taking a good amount of pain medication, but actually got to make a couple of cell phone calls last night! go jaque!! (her phone is still in my car somewhere) She is having more and more awake time each day. She understands everything that happened. She is still kind of fuzzy on some of the doctor's around here. It was a pretty emotional thing leaving ICU, sounds funny I know. Her doctors came in about 3 times to tell her goodbye, and her resp. therapy guy snuck in one last treatment as she was about to be brought to the 5th floor. And we have teary eyes in the nurses that we have grown to love!

As some of you may have heard, we are trying to make a big move to Atlanta. It is the Shepard Center, and they specialize in Spinal injuries. We are just waiting on transporation issues. Actually, we are waiting for God's plan to have her ready. Dr MacCarthy thinks that this is the best place for her to get the optimal results. Kind of like going to Idabel for a broken ankle, or going to an ortho ankle specialist.

We are learning patience and all good things are in God's timeframe.

Jaque told me that God does answer prayers. A very personal thing - she said that she asked God to not let her die, and be with her. She said, "and mom he was."

Please be sure and watch the web page as Grandma Kay is doing an excellent job of keeping her updates and progress reports for everyone.
Thank you all for all of your prayers. We really do appreciate them. God's Will WILL be done is Jaque's life. We are all positive energy, and remember to praise him for each blessing he is giving us.

You are all helping her progress. You are making a different in the life of our child. And we appreciate each and everyone.

Thanks
Mom (Carol)

Keep praying for our Jackson as she is getting stronger everyday because of Gods will and your prayers. Thank you all.

Hey Beautiful,
I just wanted you to know how famous you are. There is a man that lives across the street from the bar and he came in about five months ago. I had been praying and fasting just to become closer to the Lord. I really hadn't had anything specific to pray for. He came in Wednesday which is pool tournament night and I'm usually busy first thing. Well I hadn't had anyone come in until 7:00pm very unusually. Anyway he came in with an envelope and pictures. The pictures were of his granddaughter which had been diagnosed with a serious disease and my first instinct was to pray. He said I've watched you and you're different kind of person. I said oh I'm sorry did you need money? He replied no I needed someone who I could really tell this to. So I told him I had been fasting and praying and I believe that your granddaughter will be just fine. They had taken her out of school and she couldn't walk or play or anything anymore there was no cure. He came in a month later said she was back in school and playing doing everything she had done before if not more. He came in last night and told me remember my granddaughter I believe you had something to do with it when you prayed that she was healed. He said God will do the same for your niece. I said, I know! I know he already has and will continue to do a good work in you. I just wanted you to know that through your testimony many will come to believe in the Lord again or if they never have. So many people are praying for you that come down there and the whole church has followed your story on the emails. We love you bunches!!!

Peter said he misses you!
