I received this email from Audie Smith regarding a benefit dinner they had for Jaque.
This is the article they are putting in the Haworth paper. I wanted to share this with everyone.
A benefit for Jaque Hall, Haworth juniior, was held in Haworth on January 29, 2008. Haworth Athletics in conjunction with several school and community organizations as well as Bokhoma Masonic Lodge #249 and Goodwater Masonic Lodge #148 helped raise approximately $16,000. Haworth cafeteria staff, students, faculty, and several community members prepared the delicious meal and donated numerous desserts that were sold by silent auction during the chili suppper and live auction during the games.
Members and sponsors of Haworth Athletics, art club, FFA, FCCLA, yearbook staff, track team, FCA, quiz bowl, drama club, Spanish club, 4-H and many other volunteers worked diligently to organize and participate in this fund raising event. Both Masonic Lodges were well represented. These organizations along with auctioneer,Kevin Sain, assisted by Brad Raney, Elton Cooke, Masonic Lodge members and Haworth Cheerleaders were instrumental in the auctions" sucess. All Haworth, several Idabel and surrounding area businesses, including some from Arkansas and Texas donated items and/or money. Several co-workers of Chris and Carol were in attendance or made donations to the Jaque Hall Benefit.
Wright City displayed support in many ways. The Wright City girls' team and cheerleaders wore green ribbons to honor Jaque while the faculty, students, fans, administrators, coaching staff, and referees made generous donations or attended the chili supper. Since Jaque's accident, numerous schools from Oklahoma, Texas, and Arkansas have shown support with phone calls, cards, emails and donations.
Jaque was transferred Thursday to Atlanta, Georgia for rehabilitation at Shephard's Center, a facility that specializes in spinal cord injury.
The Hall family extends their appreciation for the communication and monetary support they have received. They especially appreciate the endless prayers that have been said for Jaque's recovery. They know that they are truly Blessed.
Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, and cousins would also like to thank everyone May God Bless each and everyone of you.
