Gain weight - yes - Fat leg - NO!

Hey guys. Jaque has been so ready to gain weight, right? Well, she did. Just not what she expected. We woke up yesterday with a little swelling in the left thigh. So, dr looked and was not too worried. Woke up today and it was bigger. It is about 4-5 cm larger than the right leg.

Of course, Jaque is worried. We just got back from an ultra sound on her leg. This test for clots, and blood flow. Prasie God. The tech said that everything looks good on the "blood" front. No clots, no slow flow. So, as much as we wanted to find something quick, it is a blessing that she has very healthy artery and veins in her legs. He told her that he was surprised by the swelling, but that she really looked and sounded great. We are waiting to see what else they may want to look at. I will keep you posted. Hopefully it will reduce on its own. It is so funny to see how sensitive her legs are, and last night was no exception. You all know that at this point she cannot consistantly feel, but let me tell you -- her legs still feel it. The ultrasound guy got such a kick out of tickling her toes. Literally, he got a kick out of it, right on his arm. Too cute, huh?

Now to more important things. We are going on Thursday to find a prom dress. There are two stores here that have the dress she picked out. We are doing this with the TR group. And let me tell you -- the group to go with us is growing by the minute. Of course, pray for Chris. We cannot go with out our fork truck!!

Also, Chris has become a favorite here. Duh! He is the MAYOR, right? He has really been helpful with the tools on the wheel chairs. Rest assured that this accident has not slowed he and Jaque picking on one another. A nurse asked the other day if Jaque always hit her dad that hard, I just said "you call that hard?"

One of the fathers caught me last night and said that he was just talking with Jaque and a group of kids (guys, no doubt). He said that she was sure a charmer. He just wanted me to know that he was so impressed with her attitude, and her smile. he said even when she does not feel good, she can still give a smile. I told him thanks, and I said that is just Jaque. Kissed by God, touched by Jesus, and blessing me here on earth every day of my life.

Dates for you all to remember: We are looking at being home sometime around April 17 - 18. Just in time for Prom. Today, please keep in your prayers those here in ATL at Shepherd that have no faith. Hope and pray that they may gain it. Without faith and family & friends - i cannot imagine.

We love and Miss you all so much.
Carol (and Jaque and Chris)

Yep, you are one in a million little sister! You are a gift from God yourself. God had plans for you and Chris too. To show those of us who needed showing the important things in life. You to are amazing and you have an amazing little girl. I hope you all have a great time looking for dresses. We did have good parents didn't we? Now there awesome grandparents. Deanna told me the other day her Daddy and Jeri told her "Jaque is gonna be okay and we are praying for her." she looked at me and said "see mom, he is still uncle freddie and Jeri is even praying for her" I thought to myself God has worked miracles thru ya. We've all got along since all this and its changed Deanna's life. "All of our lives." I truly believe GOD has GREAT plans for you. Jaque, honey keep working hard and good things will keep happening. I pray for ya daily, think of you often and love you forever and a day. Everyone of us are so proud of you. Just go easy on daddy, Ya know, he is getting old. Wouldn't want ya to hurt him. Oh and Carol, I had know doubt how strong you were! You have always been a "Little Spit Fire" when ya get determined and you were determined that day in Little Rock when you told Belinda and I the devil wasn't allowed and neither was negative thoughts! SEE where it got ya. Praise God for your instincts and love you both have for Jaque . Member that time in track Coach Biddy told me if I just wouldn't look back I might could beat you. I was winning and I looked over my left shoulder and you flew right by. You been FLYING ever since and doing amazing things . Don't look back Carol, your family will win this too. I know it. I admire you so much. I Love you Jaque and Chris.

Keep up the hard work and keep your spirits and your head up. Follow thru!!lol You guys are an amazing team. If at any time day or night you need to talk, rant or rave...call! Jaque we are so proud that your test results came back good. We knew that you would get a glowing report. See the devil is so mad because he can't get you, your mom or your dad down that he has to try to throw something at you to see if he can break your stand of faith. But like always y'all stand together believing and not doubting when you pray so he can't have any fun with you.
Chris and Carol y'all are an awesome team we so very proud of both of you for it takes both of your strength and faith to help Jaque through this as well as the rest of us. I believe that God is pulling this family together and changing lives for the better. People could take lessons on life from y'all. The petty little things don't mean anything as long as y'all have each other. The lord is coming soon to take us all home. I believe he is using us to help bring others to him through our faith and our strength. It would be a lot easier to just give up and be angry at everything believe me I know. I have people everyday comment on our strength and love for the lord. They are amazed at how we all have handled the things that have happened in our family for the past 5 months. They keep up with your blog to see what new is going on with Jaque and can see what a strong family we are. Jaque you are there for a reason I know that your smile and attitude is a blessing to everyone around you. Keep doing just what you are doing. You are awesome and we love you so very much.

What a beautiful day it is in Oklahoma. Sun shining and and we know part of that shine is coming from Atlanta. I'm so glad your test came back okay. I miss you and love you. You are our light Jaque!!! We all are better people, daughters, mommies, aunts and friends cuz of you. I will have to agree with your Grandma Kay on this one, God is using you to help people find faith and it would be so easy to turn to a a bad attitude at times. Jaque this is to be said tho,"It's okay to have times of frustrations and when you do know we are there for you." Honey do your best and that is all God and any of us can expect. I love you with all my heart.
