What a morning! It started out with overcast weather. As we were getting dressed, I asked Jaque if she was still nervous. We overheard a preacher on TV and he said, "Let me remind you all that God did not give us the spirit of fear." Funny that this is just the channel that was on when we turned the TV on. And Chris turned it on as he was walking out the door to get her blueberry muffins. Turned it on just to wake Jaque up. Those close to our family understand that this is a message from God telling Jaque that he, and her ol uncle CJ are still with her. She said, "oohhh! hope God don't let me drive like CJ today, I might flunk!" Then we laughed and hugged each other. She looked so cute, all decked out in her green Victoria Secret Sweatshirt that says Think Green Wear Pink, and her pink plaid capri's.
She had to answer quite a few questions concerning her wreck, and what physical limitations that she has at the current moment. Then she had to do a few hand-eye coordination drills, and of course what driving test would be complete without the vision screening. She did well on all of it. And when we finally made it to the car, she had that glow about her. You know, the "it" she has. She had to drive down Peachtree Street (the busiest six lane, non interstate street in Atlanta) and the get on I-75, loop around and come back to hospital. The driving instructor said she did really well. And so, one more chapter written in our lives. In Jaque's life, one more part of her independence regained! Praise God.
By now most of her friends at Haworth know that she moved her foot yesterday. It was her left foot, and she picked her toes up about 1 inch off of the ground, and put them back. She did this for a couple of minutes before even telling me. We were getting her hooked up on the FES bike. She was smiling, I thought Chris had done something. (passed gas, picked his nose?) But she laughed and said look mom. She can control it for around 3 - 5 minutes each time. Then, just like it came, it goes. But it is great that it is coming. God is great. He continues to show us that it is his WILL, his WAY, and through his POWER that health is being restored to her. By the way, it is the third time this week that we have seen this movement. Immediately she and I said Praise GOD!
Well, got to run guys. Jaque is having lunch with her OT's, PT's, and TR's from the 2nd and 3rd floor. They are all so sweet and special in our heart. God Saved Jauqe. They have helped her regain her strength and sassy'ness.
Thanks to Coach Reynolds, the Haworth Lady Lions, and Kelsie Jackson for being there for her. She Loves you all and cannot wait to get home.
Love to you all. And Grandma Kay -- DR Pepper----that is a serious commitment. We love you all and know that God is working so much love through all of you. Grandma Kay & Papa Larry, Grandma Donna and Papa Danny, Papa Phillip and Mamaw Melinda - thanks for all you do for us and Jaque. We could not make this journey without you. Carol (Jaque and Chris)

Hey Sweetie,
First let me say this - GOOD GOING CHRIS!!! for standing your grounds about going to that one restaurant. God always has a purpose and plan.
Thank you Jaque for being a witness to the couple that has a nephew in a wheelchair. Who knows -you may be on Good Morning America one of these days as a testimony for God's Glory.
Jaque when you come up to Burns Flat and Dill City you can take your MEME and me cruising around the square at Cordell and we can celebrate with a Route 66 water!!!
Last but not least, you really touched me with your art work on the ceiling tile. Your Uncle C.J. would be so proud. I believe with my whole heart, Jaque, that you do not have a spirit of fear - but you do have a Spirit of love, power and sound mind. You do all things through Christ who strengthens you and it shows.
Uncle Garry and I love you and your mom and dad so much. We will see you soon. XOXOXOXOXOXOXOX

To Carol and Chris,
Carol, I want to tell you that you are an awesome mom. You and Chris have been a wonderful example of great parents and true witness to our Saviour and Lord. Carol thank you for your words on the blog - you have witnessed to a lot of my friends and co-workers. Chris, you are a tower of strength - what a fabulous dad you are.
I know this has been a journey you wish your daughter didn't have to take, (we know you both would have taken her place) but your precious witness throughout this time has won a lot of people to Christ. It has made some parents stop and re-evaluate themselves and the role they live in life as parents and spouses. There will many a jewel for your crown. You are both tremendous blessing to those around you.
We are proud you are in our family. We are blessed. Love you both.

Hey Angel,
Praise God!!!! I began to weep as I read your messages. There messages from God to all of us home fighting the fight with you. The drawing you did was lovely and I know C.j is proud. You know life is tough sometimes but we will overcome by the blood. Little stinker I didn't know you've been moving a little more. God lets us know at the right time though . All in God's PERFECT TIMING!! I heard this once "God would be lying to Jesus if he didn't do what he said." Because he sent Jesus for our healing, sins and everything pertaining to life here that we need. If it weren't true he lied to his son and his son died for nothing. That is why we know today that God is still with us in everything because he holds our hand. somethings we may not understand like C.j being gone but as you can see around you there is a greater battle going on and Jesus has him working for him on our behalf. So when you feel a breeze he's sending you and everyone his love. Love you all and See you soon. Good job keeping the faith!!! Chris and Carol you guys are awesome!!! God can take care of it all so believe it is all taken care of through him. Whatever the devil tries to steal must return seven fold. Wow what legs and arms Jaque will have then for softball!! The funds will all be handled to. Praise God he takes care of his sheep!!

You know I have been sitting around thinking. It is so wonderful what God has done for you and all your family. Like Prissy said we don't know why things happen, like C.J. and then your accident, and the things that are going on with Brandon. But with God we will overcome all obstacles. It is hard for me. I just take one day at a time. I'm sure it is also for you and your mom, dad but y'all too must take one day at a time and listen to what God has in store for you. I know he is an awesome God for without him I would not be able to get through each day. I'm not saying that each day is a bed of roses, because it is not. It is a struggle just to get out of bed and put one foot in front of the other, because Satin comes to steal, kill and destroy. He thinks that if he can keep me down that he has won. I refuse to let him do that to me, you or any of my family especially the memory of C.J. I believe he has stolen enough from us and now it is time for him to pay.
Words can't express how much I love each and everyone of my family. Y'all are what I cont. to live for.
Jaque I know without a doubt that you will be back out pitching no hitters again and will have such a great story to tell all. Your life will be a testimony for God. People will truly see what an awesome God we serve through your actions. You already have inspired so many people that you don't even know. Keep that beautiful smile, positive attitude and your head held high, so that everyone can see your beautiful glow of the lord around you.
Your mom and dad are awesome. Chris I am so proud to be your mother, you are truly an example of what a father should be. Carol I am also glad that you are part of my family. You are an awesome mother and friend.
Well Jaque you won't believe it but day 3 without a Dr. Pepper. I am trying real hard but you see even in this the devil comes at me trying to tempt me with the crave for a drink of dr pepper saying it won't hurt just one little drink. So I know he comes at you even harder trying to put doubt and unbelief in your mind. But like you said and it is also C.J.'s favorite scripture God did not give us the spirit of fear but of power love and a sound mind. So devil you have to bow down now and leave us alone for we serve a mighty God.
Love you so much, can't wait to see you next week.
