Don't you just love summer?

Well, as I write this, Jaque is out wih her friends. She has had a wonderful week. God is working within her. She just radiates sunshine!

This week is the first week since her accident that she has ALL BY HERSELF gotten out of bed, gotten dressed, fixed breakfast, put her shoes and socks on, and straightened her hair!! ALL BY HERSELF. God is so great. It was the most glorious smile I have seen on her face. It was priceless.

She really can feel the prayers, and is learning that when things seem tough, just cast that ol' devil out and you are sure to feel better. Today on our way home from walmart she told me that she is excited about going to college. She said that she would like to still go to OBU, but that a lot of her friends are in Texarkana and that might be fun also. I am just amazed that she draws so much confidence from you all - our friend and family.

We had a great 4th. A few bumps, but nothing to tough for us! Eddie has become friends with frogs. You know that is funny "Fully Relying On God" FROG. I just hope he doesn't eat one. Technically is that people food? He and Jaque both went camping on the forth. They did not get to watch the fireworks, but they got to play on the tube.

I wanted to say a big thank you to Aunt Larissa. She has done so much for Jaque over the past few months. I know that we would not be where we are at today without her help. She is the quiet strength that I see Jaque drawing on. I am so thankful for her, Toby, Jaron, and Jordan. She is never to busy to lend an ear or to run to the RX. So thanks Aunt Lisa. God knows who his people are, and you are on that list. Not by you works alone, just for being you. You have made a difference in Jaque.

We got our sidewalks in the front yard finished. Jaque can officially make it from the front door, to the side door, and all the way down to the pond. Best part is she can do it when she wants to.

Please continue to pray. It is working. We rode 12.43 miles on the bike, new record, but what else do you expect?

Guys,in all of our everyday lives we all have a lot going on. Thank you so much for keeping up the prayer chain, and your faithfulness is so wonderful. I want you all to know that God is working in our lives, in Jaque's life, and he is GOOD. Please know that we pray for our family and friends every night. And please tonight pray for those that may not have anyone else. Without you, I cannot imagine the last 6 months. Without you all, I cannot imagine what Chris and I would have done. Thank you. Mom, Momma Kay, Melinda - you are the best. Mom and Momma Kay thank you so much for being with us all that time in Little Rock. You are the strongest people that I know. For all the laundry and the goodie baskets, thanks.

Hope you all are having a great summer, more pics to follow!

Hey from everyone at GCI. We are so proud of Jaque and thankful that Eddie has the best home we could ever hope for (although his new frog friends may think differently). We'll just add frog wranglimg to Eddie's long resume of extraordinary talents! Another reason Jaque and Ed are such a great match - they are both extraordinary! Much love from your peops in Georgia!
P.S. I love to read all the thankyous. You don't get many chances to acknowledge loved ones - its nice to see that! Love, Ramona

Jaque, Chris , Carol love and miss ya'll so much. We are so proud of all of you. Jaque you are doing outstanding. While you was at my house a few weeks back it was so amazing to see the progress you have and cont to make. I have so many people praise you to me for how far you have come, the awesome attitude you have and most of that beautiful smile. You know it is hard for a lot of people to understand how you can the positive attitude that you have. It is hard for them imagine how you can cont to have such a positive attitude because they know how active you have been all your life. You are one of those people so many want to be like. You know some people are jealous of what you have accomplished and the awesome family you have. People can be cruel in their actions and not really mean to be. It is hard for some to accept that you are the same no matter what is dealt your way. That is because you have never quit. I don't know of too many things that you haven't been able to accomplish once you set your mind to do it. One of the things that contributes to that is that you have an awesome support team, (your mom and dad) plus all your other family, but they are the main ones. You see so many people don't have people in their lives to support and back them no matter what. But you know the most important thing is you have God in your life and an open relationship with your parents that love you no matter what you do. It like our relationship with God he forgives us no matter what we do if we only ask for forgiveness. You are like that too. I know there has been times when you have been upset by things people do and say to you before and after the accident, but you pick yourself up and don't let the ole devil have his glory by letting negative things get you down. This is some of the things that I believe has brought you so far. It is your positive attitude, strong will, determination and the love of people, and the lord.
All I can say is we all need to humble ourselves and learn from you.
Jaque you had such a strong support team at Little Rock and Atlanta, there were so many Drs, therapist, nurses and others that were rooting for you. People were amazed at the progress you made and how quick you made it. You were an inspiration to others there. There was families there that gained strength from your family (especially your dad who would preach and tell them about what the lord has done for you )and your progress everyday. Sometimes just finding out what progress you made that day and seeing the faith we all had kept them positive and going.
So what I'm trying to say God has a plan for you so don't you ever let anyone get you down. Keep your eyes on God for he truly has a plan for you.
I would like to THANK everyone who prayed for Jaque and the extra mile everyone went for you. I'm a nurse and I saw all the wonderful people that came into your life and all the extra special things that they did for you and your family. It was awesome. I know that they all earned stones in their crown. Thank you so much to all of you.
Eddies owners y'all are awesome people for what y'all do and the joy your animals bring to others like Jaque, God will truly bless you for all your dedication and hard work you do. People like y'all that make a difference in this world. God Bless you.
Jaque see you know why I haven't posted on your blog I'm too long winded.
Love you so much.
