In like a Lion!

Its been so long.....hope you all have been busy since our last conversation.

We have. Jaque was sick for a couple of weeks. She is much better now. We have been down to the Hall cabin on Lake Erling to catch some fish and ride in the john boat. And we have been up to Grandma Donna's to see the Easter Bunny with Deanna and Haley - and Grandma Kay's to kill a Rio turkey. Of course all those stops had great food, great friends, and most importantly great Family. We are so blessed with our Family.

I wanted to update you all on what's going on in Jaque's blessed life.

She is getting ready for Prom this week. She and Haley are planning a big day of hair, nails, and most importantly a JEEP RIDE.

Yep, you read me. That little girl of mine is anxiously awaiting prom, and praying for good weather so that she can drive the JEEP to prom. Can anything conquer her?

Prom - April 17
Baccularette - May 13
GRADUATION PARTY AT OUR HOUSE - May 16
Graduation - May 17 at 2:30 p.m.

You should all start receiving your announcements this week. We are planning a big fish fry on Sat, May 16. Hopefully we will have so many friends and family there that we will have to park in the field by my house. We cannot wait! Chris has already been planning with the "cooks" of the family. If he has not called you, just wait, he will!

Jaque's spirit is doing really well. The weather is turning from cool to warm, and she is ready for the lake. She is such a wonderfully typical teenager. But God blessed her with so much more. She is struggling with what choices God wants her to make. To know what is the right one and what is the wrong one. A wise woman says that God gives you your heart and your mind to help make decisions. He gives you a choice. She is right. He gives us free will. He forgives us, we can forgive those that hurt us. God also wants to see us grow. My silly philosophy is that he gives us life, long or short. We must make each day count. You never know what one smile will do. You never know what one hug can do. As long as we do the best we can each day when we get up he will always be proud.

How do we know that the choice is right? Well, if God is in the choice, it will always be right. If that choice involves pray and petition, he will always play a hand in it.

Shall we all stand together and rejoice this precious time?Yes, our Jaque is graduating at Haworth High. She is a gift from God.

While we were in Dill City Jaque talked a lot about Uncle CJ. She said that while she was sleeping she was laying with CJ and God. Well CJ sends her shooting stars often. (she said mostly when she is about to get in trouble!lol) But I know he is reminding her that there are no limits. And he is telling her to shoot for them. The last conversation I had with him was right after their fishing trip. He said that he wanted to make sure I knew how proud he was of her. He hugged me (smelled like a fish) and said that me and Chris did good job. He said that she was so fearless and beautiful and that he was just in awe of what she has done with her life. We laughed about some of their memories together. Then he said he wants her to always know just how much he loves her. He said he would always be there if she needed him, and he was right. Thanks Uncle CJ. We love you. And you were right, when we could not reach her, you took over and brought one of your friends with you. Reminds me of the What a friend we have in Jesus song. We love you dearly CJ and yes, we are so proud of Jaque too!

I will get pics of our Prom dress posted ASAP! love ya'll and keep praying.

Congradulations on Jaques graduation. I came on here because I had a dream about Jaque. I am glad she is doing well, and I have enjoyed reading all your posts. You are just as much as an inspiration as your lovely daughter. Zakary is the JROTC chaplain of his unit, and has made his firm decision that when he graduates he is going to go on to become a pastor. An ARMY chaplain specifically. I overheard him recently talking about Jaque to a friend, and saying that she was such an inspiration to him. I wish you could have been a fly on the wall. Anyway, please give her and Eddie a hug from the Prem Family, and congradulations from all of us. Zakary started a blog, teenage chaplains for christ. You may visit it, he doesn't have any "followers" yet, he just put it up, but it has a current picture of him without all that hair..lol and if Jaque would ever like to leave him a message, I am sure he would enjoy it. http://teenchaplainsforchrist.blogspot.com/

God Bless, and may the Lord continue to guide Jacque in her incredible life...Love, Darleen, Mike and Zakary Prem

Dear Carol,

First I want to thank you for visiting Zakary's site. He teared up for a moment, and said something that stuck with me like glue. "Now I know". Carol, you were right when you said God doesn't make us to sit on the bench. I would like to share a little story with you and your family. I have volunteered for many years working with dogs. Dogs have come and gone through our house for a long time. Always going to someone who they could partner with to help make a positive change. However, I have never walked in the shoes of the parent, daughter, wife or sister of the person the dogs went to. In January my Dad had a stroke. It was a life changing experiencing for all of us. Perhaps you may have noticed, I am EXTREMELY close to my dad. As I sat next to my fathers bed, not being able to understand what he was saying because his speech was so slurred. Him not being able to squeeze my hand because there was no feeling, crushed me beyond words. As I sat there with tears rolling down my face I thought, how I am I going to deal with this? This can't be happening! Then, my friend, I thought of you. I thought of all the words you wrote about Jaque. I thought about the blogs I read that you posted shortly after Jaques accident. I thought of your faith. In that moment, I strived to be Carol Hall. The hurt I felt I still don't think could pale in comparison to what you and your husband and family members went through after Jaques injury. But nevertheless, it hurt. It hurt to see someone I cherished in that condition and that I couldn't do anything about it. I felt angry in a way, thinking what good could come out of this? Well I got my answer. I always wondered what the purpose of me having Eddie was. Was it for Jaque? Was it for me? But the answer was you. You write about Jaque all the time. What an inspiration she is. And God love her, she is. God has some great things planned for her. But Carol, I would like you to step back and know what an inspiration you were to me. Eddie was a direction to lead me to a place that I needed in a time in my life that I felt weak and unstable. Had I not participated in his life, I would have never had the chance to meet you and your family. I would have never read your blog. Whenever I felt beat down, I would think of something you said about how your trust in the Lord would heal Jaque and your family. Carol, your words were not just a blog, they reached someone that I guess, you never expected to meet. It's pretty awesome how two strangers could briefly meet yet one could be such a tool. Carol, God used you to help my family, and I wanted you to know that. Your a tool just as Jaque and Zakary are tools. The end result? My dad has most of his speech back, he can walk with a cane which he is getting ready to be able to walk without and the Neorologist has nothing to say except "wow", what an incredible recovery. But we both know it was the healing hand of God. The same hand that is over Jaque. As for Zakary? Well that experience is what started Teen Chaplains for Christ. He wanted to be a minister before that, but the experience with Grandpa, lead him to it through a series of happenings, all of which God had his hand in. Carol, thank you. Thank you for your words. Thank you for moving my heart when it needed to be moved. I know your blog is written with Jaques awesome power, but you should know, what an awesome power God has given you through her also. You are one inspiring, faithful women. God Bless, Darleen

This blog I believe has been an inspiration and blessing to many people who have read it. I believe that God touches each and everyones lives that reads it.

See Jaque there is a reason for all things that happen in life. You see satan comes to kill steal and destory but Jesus came that we may have life and more abundant.

Thank you Carol for what you wrote about CJ. You are right he did love Jaque very much. He was always so proud of his nieces and nephews. He loved to play with them. He would get a kick out of things they would say or do. CJ was just a little boy when Jaque was born and he loved to carry her around. She was almost as big as him. They was always very close. I don't understand why he is no longer with us and it breaks my heart that he isn't. I miss him so much. The one comfort that I have is knowing that CJ loved to lord very much and I know that he is in heaven. I believe he is Jaque's guardian angel and that like she said he was with her and Jesus the whole time and still is.

I know that the trials that this family has been put through has brought us all closer to the lord and together. I believe that God has mighty things in store for Jaque.

Chris and Carol, ya'll have done a great job in raising Jaque and she is so blessed to have had two parents that love her so much and have supported and been there for her.

Jaque continue to be strong in the Lord and keep you faith and be true to yourself. Remember if you will always ask the question what would happen if Jesus came back at this very minute where would I go. I believe if you do this you will make the right choice.

Thank you Lord that you have given us more time with Jaque and that we have the opportunity to see her graduate. I can't wait to see what else you have in store for us with her. Lord I thank you that she is healed from the top of her head to the soles of her feet. I thank you that she will walk again. I believe that Jaque will be a living testimony for you.

Love you
Can't wait to see you Graduate
