Oh man! Can I hear you all singing it now.
This song comes to mind after the week we have had. Jaque started feeling a little under the weather on Friday. We went to the cabin at Lake Erling in LA. A perfect place to relax. WRONG. Uncle Aaron and his friends made sure tha Jaque had a great time at his and Kari's house warming party. It was great to meet them all. They really made Jaque feel right at home. We had a really great time playing ball with Aiden and Mason.
Sunday came all to soon, and Jaque was again worn out. She slept most of the day. And she has been down for the count pretty much ever since. Tonight is Wed, and she is just now getting color back in her face. Made me think. Who can we really count on when we are "down and out?"
Most of the time our lives are so busy juggling, with work and kids, it is hard to slow down with out dropping all the balls. Looking around, I know that I have all the help that I need. I know that if asked, I am so blessed with having many of you that would come. Thank God for you all.
Last night about three o'clock in the morning, I thought -- Grandma BJ. Yes, I am not quite sure why she sprang to memory. Her words "Cast out this devil in the name of the Lord." Sounds like something that a Holy Roller would say, right? Well, guess that is me, because as I watched Jaque fight off this tummy ache and body aches.....those words came through me to her. I told that ol devil to move on to someone else, because we were to strong for him. That she would not be defeated by him. I did not hang from the rafters or yell from the mountain top, but would have if I thought that it was need. But in that hour, I whispered. And the Lord heard.
See, what we mear mortals do not understand is that each day is a gift. In that gift we have a choice to live life or sit and watch. Well, Jaque (and Chris and I) have never been ones to warm the bench well. We have to be close to the action. We have to be in the game, actually at point guard running the plays. And even better, as the pitcher with the world at our mercy. Every once in a while, Jaque would get someone up to bat. She would not just strike them out. Once I said, you know you could have struck her out, why did you let her hit? She said mom, it is not just me on my team. They (the others on the field) have to feel important too, otherwise it will not be near as fun. If we can't do it as a team, we don't need it.
To share something very personal, Jaque had a dream last night. In it her friends had a car accident. She said that she asked God to let her get up and help them, and she did. She said she had to swim in and get them out. She said once she saved them, she fell to the ground. She said everyone wanted to know how they were saved and her friend said it was "Jaque." She said she could not feel anything, but God told her that just because she could not feel it, doesn't mean that they don't work. I said "oh, our own little spider man. her super power is walking when needed." We laughed. I said bet you had a cute little outfit on. She laughed and said NO I had on jeans and did not know how I was going to swim in them, it has been so long since I did.
Just for our information, I actually slept most of the night at the foot of Jaque's bed laid at her feet. Why? Because her legs would not quit moving long enough for her to rest.
Enough said? So wip the goose bumps off your arm, and pray for someone today. God is working and he says "lean on me when your not strong, I'll be your friend, I'll help you carry on." God is working, we may be asleep while he works, but he is there.
Sweet dreams tonight. And remember our superhero wears jeans. Love you all.

Hey baby girl, I'm sorry to hear you are under the weather.
I have several scriptures for you. These are scriptures that PaPa and I stood on when Priscilla was just a newborn baby.
Luke 10:19 I have given you(Jaque) authority and power over the enemy and nothing in any way shall harm you.
2 Timothy 1:17 God hath not given us (Jaque) the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
Psalms 91:10,11 There shall no evil befall Jaque, neither shall any plague come nigh they dwelling.
For He shall give His angels charge over Jaque, to keep her in all thy ways.
Luke 10:19 Behold, I give unto you (Jaque) power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy; and nothing shall by any means hurt Jaque.
Matthew 15:30,31 And great multitudes came unto him, having with them those that were lame, blind, dumb, maimed, and many others, and cast them down at Jesus feet; and He healed them.
Psalms 107:20 He sent his word and healed them (Jaque).
Luke 10:19 I have given you (Jaque) authority and power over the enemy and nothing in any way shall harm you (Jaque)
John 10:10 The thief (satan)cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they (Jaque) might have life, and that they (Jaque) might have it more abudantly.
Luke 10:19 I have given you (Jaque) authority and power over the enemy
Philippians 4:13 I (Jaque) can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
Hebrews 13:5 He hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
Matthew 18:18,19,20 Verily I say unto you, whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.
For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the midst of them.
Jaque, Chris, and Carol these are scriptures that helped us when we were told that Priscilla when she was just a few hours old that she would not live. We would not accept any evil or negative reports and stood on the scriptures above and put her name in each one of them. The devil had no choice but to flee. Priscilla is 28 years old as of March 6th this year. PaPa and I stand on these scriptures for each and everyone of our children and especially you Jaque. God has not brought you this far to let you fall. You keep reminding the devil to get behind you because you are the head and not the tail you are above and not beneath.
You are awesome and I see you walking soon. MiMi and PaPa will cont. to stand fast for you and your mom and dad,
You are so loved and believe me I know how tough it is to be where you are. Mine I know is in a different way with my knees, but it gets very discouraging not to be able to walk or do things for your self. You just have to remain positive, don't give up. That is what ya'll keep telling me I have to keep calling on Jesus to help me with the pain, not being able to walk and most of the depression. I am only human and the devil comes at me with all kinds of bad thoughts and negative feelings and yes it is hard to stay positive, and upbeat. I truly admire your strength and positive attitude so I pick myself up and shake my boots off.
Can't wait to see you next month. I pray that by then I am able to get up and around more so we can have some fun.
Love you so very much and your wonderful parents.
My prayer is that there shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh Jaque, Carol, Chris. For God shall give his angels charge over Jaque, Carol, Chris, to keep thee in all thy ways. Psalms 91:10,11
Love ya'll infinity and beyond
